Who we are

Magic Pallets supplies and collects wooden pallets for businesses in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Our office is at 3292 Production Way #501, Burnaby, BC V5A 4R4. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you request a quote or a pickup: your name, company, phone number, email address, the pallets you need or want collected, the delivery or pickup location, and anything you write in the message.

When you phone us: we may note your name, number and what you need so we can follow up. If you reach our automated phone assistant, you are told the call is recorded, and a written transcript of the call is kept.

When you browse the site: if you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics cookies to see how visitors find and use the site, such as the pages viewed, the site or search that sent you, and the type of device. We also note how you first arrived so we know which advertising and listings bring enquiries. You can decline analytics in the cookie banner, and we then record none of this.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange delivery or collection, keep a record of our conversations and orders, and improve our website and advertising. We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

Who handles it for us

Our records are stored with Google Cloud in Montreal, Canada. A few service providers process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:

  • Google: website hosting, our database, and website analytics
  • Twilio: text-message alerts to our team about new requests, and our phone assistant
  • Hostinger: our business email
  • Anthropic: the AI service behind our automated phone assistant

Some of these providers process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and the notes we make about them for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our business and tax record-keeping obligations, then delete them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it, subject to legal and business record-keeping requirements. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
